President & Chief Operating Officer
James is a dynamic and adaptable leader with extensive global experience. He has held executive positions in finance, administration, business development and information technology for over 20 years. Early in his career, James worked for a tier-one automotive supplier where he held numerous management positions generally related to sales and finance. More recently, James was the VP of finance, administration and IT for a global supplier of electrical and digital infrastructure for commercial, industrial and residential buildings. James was also Director of Finance and Treasurer for the Canadian arm of the world’s largest manufacturer of welding equipment and supplies, and most recently served as CFO of a privately held company that designs, tests and manufacturers complete exhaust systems for global OEMs.
Chief Financial Officer
Khurram brings more than 25 years experience in the field of accounting and corporate finance. Khurram qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1990 and has held Chief Financial Officer positions at Slyce Inc., Augustine Ventures Inc. and Lingo Media Corporation. He has been a key member on several merger and acquisition teams, while working in industry.
VP, Corporate Development
Robert brings 20+ years of executive management (COO, CMO, VP Corporate Development) experience to ITT. Most recently, he was the VP of Corporate Development of a venture accelerator, where Robert co-led the acquisition of five international companies, and multiple strategic partnerships.
BOARD OF DIRECTORS
Hon. Jerry Grafstein, Q.C.
The Hon. Jerry S. Grafstein, Q.C., holds degrees from the University of Western Ontario and the University of Toronto Law School and has taught the Bar Admission Course at Osgoode Hall. He has wide-ranging legal and business experience in all aspects of media. Mr. Grafstein was a co-founder of a range of media companies, focusing on broadcasting, cable, communications, film production and publication enterprises in Canada, the USA, the UK, South America. He recently co-founded on-line news sites from Canada, USA, Brazil, China, Russia, Africa, UK, Europe and the Mideast. Mr. Grafstein advised several key government ministries, including Transportation, External Affairs, Consumer and Corporate Affairs and Justice. He was appointed to the Senate of Canada in 1984 by then Prime Minister Pierre Elliott Trudeau. Mr. Grafstein served on all Senate Committees, including the Foreign Affairs and the Legal and Constitutional Affairs Committees. He served as Chairman of the Senate Banking, Trade and Commerce Committee. While in the Senate, Mr. Grafstein was a long serving Co-Chair of the Canada-United States Inter-Parliamentary Group, and a long serving senior officer of the Organization for Security and Co-Operation in Europe Parliamentary Assembly (OSCE PA). He retired from the Senate on January 1, 2010. Mr. Grafstein continues his law practice in corporate finance and communication law and as counsel emeritus to Minden Gross LLP in Toronto and remains active in the local affairs in Toronto. Mr. Grafstein now devotes most of his business time to technology start-ups in Canada, U.S. and Latin America.
Gali Bar-Ziv brings more than 15 years of management and entrepreneurial experience, including financing, mergers and acquisitions, strategic planning, channel development and corporate development with extensive international experience in Israel, China, and Latin America. He serves as the Chief Operating Officer of Lingo Media Corporation and President & CEO of its subsidiary, ELL Technologies Ltd.. Previously Mr. Bar-Ziv profitably grew a sale, marketing and distribution start-up to sales growth of more than 700% year over year. Prior to that, he successfully turned around the largest service division of a $300 Million financial services company while at Fairfax Financial. Mr. Bar-Ziv holds a Bachelor of Law (LL.B) degree from the University of London and an MBA in Strategic and Entrepreneurial studies from the Schulich School of Business in Toronto.
Millard S. Roth M. Sc. Ind. Mgt.
Millard is a mature, successful senior executive, business consultant, “M & A” intermediary (Portstyle Enterprises Inc., Abolutekleen Tek Inc.). He is a business builder/fixer/team enhancer who has executed profitable growth plans and developed exit initiatives for an array of medium size enterprises.
Millard’s career has encompassed serving as: interim CEO (Atelier America Inc., CCC Information Services of Canada Inc., Canadian Motion Picture Distributors Association); Co-Chair Repositioning Committee (Baycrest Foundation); Member of Board of Directors (Vubiz Inc., Tengtu International Inc., Swing Stage Ltd., Kimball Aim Labels Inc.); Advisory Board (Earthfresh Farms Inc., Human Solutions International Inc.) and Presidents’ Coach (Inniskillin Wines Ltd., Shaftesbury Films Ltd., Menu Foods Corp., TMS Marketing Ltd.). In the process, he has developed and executed strategic plans; identified, negotiated and closed acquisitions; led corporate reorganizations; and realigned business models.
